Juicing has quickly gained an amazing reputation for being an excellent weight loss tool, and that’s for a number of reasons. First off, juicing is known to decrease hunger significantly, which leads to less consumption and, as a result, weight loss. Secondly, juicing generally takes use of fruits and vegetables which are well known for being very healthy, as opposed to some poison like produce which are well known for correlating with weight, such as meats and dairy products.
That said, it’s important to have a clear understanding of what juicing recipes work well together with weight loss – there are indeed some which are less helpful, and some which can even make weight loss quite dramatic and dangerous, which we of course want to stay away from. Please also note that before any attempts to lose weight we recommend you to check with your health care physician, as weight loss under some instances can be quite dangerous. That said, here are some of our favorite juicing recipes for weight loss!
“Purple Power”
Purple Power is a classic and simple recipe that you can make in no time. As opposed to some of the lengthier recipes, this one is fairly short with only three ingredients – apple, cabbage, and lime. Mix in three to four medium sized apples with a quarter of a red cabbage head and a lime fruit, and you’re done! The juice gets an amazing purple color, as the name suggests, and is a very healthy alternative to a snack or even a meal.
“Green & Lean”
Another apple based juice, which is a bit more complicated to make but which is also definitely worth it. You will need apples (two medium size), celery (four large stalks or six smaller ones), cucumber (one to two), ginger root (one thumb), kale (six to eight leaf), and lemon (one medium size). Mix it all together and you have a delicious, healthy meal that will definitely make you feel full.
The Deal with Apples
You’ll quickly discover that a lot of the best juicing recipes for weight loss contain a lot of apple, as is the case with both Purple Power and Green & Lean. Apple is indeed a very healthy fruit, and there really is something to the expression “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. The big strength when it comes to weight loss is that it’s a fairly robust fruit which keeps you feeling full for a long time, as well as being a truly delicious fruit which most people like. Apart from juicing, you can also lose a lot of weight simply by eating an apple thirty to twenty minutes before each meal, as it will make you feel less hungry when you get to the dinner table, and then also eat less.
There are a lot of tricks to think about, but the most important thing to consider when creating juicing recipes for weight loss is to always have some fruit or vegetables that’s a bit “robust” – apple is a great example of this, carrot is another one. If you leave this out you will likely end up with something resembling water in context, and you’ll soon be back craving for more food. Go ahead and experiment, get out your favorite fruits and veggies and throw them together and see what happens! And, as always, good luck!
